In addition, VIPA offers accessibility features to enhance the viewing experience and promote equality in accessing information, such as Closed Caption (CC), Audio Description (AD), and full-screen Big Sign language for the deaf. It also provides engaging articles to broaden viewers’ perspectives.

Can I watch VIPA content from abroad, and are there any exceptions?

Users can access VIPA from abroad; however, some content may not be available due to copyright restrictions or distribution agreements limited to Thailand only — for example, certain international documentaries or TV series.

If your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Smart TV, you can cast the video by selecting the desired program’s player and tapping the Cast icon to project it onto your TV screen.

How can I download or install the VIPA app on a Smart TV?

A

You can download the VIPA application on your Smart TV through the following providers: Android TV, Apple TV, Samsung TV, and LG TV. Simply go to the Store page on your Smart TV, search for “VIPA,” select the app named “VIPA,” then download and install it to start using the service as usual.

Does VIPA offer special services for people with disabilities?

VIPA is committed to inclusivity, ensuring that all viewers can access and enjoy content equally through the following accessibility features:

Big Sign (Full-Screen Sign Language): Programs with clear and large sign language interpretation, suitable for viewers who prefer a full-screen sign language display. Viewers can switch from the regular view to the Big Sign service by tapping the SL icon on the player.

Closed Caption (CC): Converts spoken dialogue and sound effects in videos into text, helping viewers who are deaf or hard of hearing — as well as general audiences — fully understand the content.

Audio Description (AD): Provides additional narration during non-dialogue moments, describing visuals, facial expressions, actions, and scenes to help visually impaired viewers experience the content more completely.

If the program you’re watching offers any of these special services — Big Sign, CC, or AD — you can activate them directly from the menu icons on the player screen.

  • VIPA offers a Smart Recommendation system that suggests content tailored specifically to your interests.

  • Members receive updates, new program announcements, and special activity invitations from VIPA before anyone else.

How can I collect VIPA Family points?

Members can earn VIPA Points according to the conditions specified in the VIPA Family menu.

Points can be collected through various activities such as logging in, continuous video watching, sharing videos or articles, writing reviews, and reading articles.

What should I do if I experience technical issues?

If you encounter problems such as video lagging, app download failure, black screen, screen rotation errors, or frozen images, you can perform the following basic troubleshooting steps:

  1. Check your internet connection
    • Reset your internet signal (turn it off and on again, or switch to another network such as Wi-Fi / 4G / 5G).

    • It is recommended to use a LAN cable connection (if possible) for better stability.

    • Alternatively, try switching to a different internet network.

  2. Refresh the application
    • Close the application completely (Kill App) and reopen it.

    • If the issue persists, try restarting your device.

  3. Update the application version
    • Go to Settings → Developer Information to check the current version of the application.

    • Check and update to the latest version via the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
