About VIPA
VIPA is the official video streaming platform developed by the Thai Public Broadcasting Service (Thai PBS). It provides an extensive range of high-quality video-on-demand (VOD) content, curated to cater to the diverse needs and interests of viewers of all ages. The platform reflects the evolving media consumption behaviors of contemporary audiences, while upholding the principles of accessibility, safety, and public service.
The name “VIPA” not only refers to the location of Thai PBS headquarters on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road, but also derives from the words “VISION & PASSION,” signifying the organization’s commitment to delivering informative, educational, and entertaining content with integrity and purpose.
With state-of-the-art features such as 4K resolution, Audio Description (AD), Sign language (SL), and Closed Captions (CC), VIPA ensures an inclusive and accessible viewing experience. The platform is available across various digital devices, and all content is provided free of charge, with no commercial advertisements.
VIPA offers a comprehensive archive of previously aired programs from Thai PBS, but it also introduces a new wave of digital-native productions under the label VIPA ORIGINALS, which was created specifically for the platform.
The Thai Public Broadcasting Service (Thai PBS), formally established under the Thai Public Broadcasting Service Act, B.E. 2551 (2008), is Thailand’s first independent public service broadcaster. As a non-profit organization, Thai PBS is mandated to serve the public interest through impartial news reporting, comprehensive coverage, and content that promotes civic awareness, cultural enrichment, and social progress.
